- The College has a current student capacity of approximately 1100 students, however we will grow into the capacity steadily as we add each Year Level cohort.
**Selection Criteria**:
**SC1**. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the area of inclusive education and supporting learners with additional needs, including the capacity to work directly with students who have complex behavioural and learning needs
**SC2.** Extensive knowledge of and experience with neurodiverse young people
**SC3**. Sound knowledge and understanding of mandatory reporting procedures, confidentiality and student rights
**SC4**. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills leading to effective outcomes
**SC5**. Demonstrated ability in the use of ICT systems with a high level of computer literacy
**SC6**. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others and contribute to team objectives
**SC7.** Relevant qualifications in the areas of youth work, social work, disability, mental health or similar.
**Role**:
- The Inclusion Youth Worker position works directly with individuals and groups of students who are supported through the PSD and DI programs to provide direct support or intervention to address barriers to engagement and learning.
- The Inclusion Youth Worker will ensure students with disabilities and additional needs are engaged in education and meeting their learning goals. To do this they work collaboratively with the school¿s teaching team, wellbeing staff and allied health team. They also work collaboratively with services/teams outside school, which may include community/ health based services and external therapists.
- It is expected that a person in this position will:
- Be an effective and dynamic team member and develop cooperative working relationships
- Champion the demonstration of confidentiality, respect, equity, access and inclusion for all
- Liaise and consult with the Sub School Team including Assistant Principal, Student Services Manager and Year Level Leaders to assist in the implementation of the Schools Student Services Vision.
