**Senior Mechanical Designer**

**The company**:
A small family owned business that has been supplying services to the Newcastle hunter region for over 30 years. Our client has been supplying companies across Newcastle with their unique services to ensure their customers have a tailored service for them to get the most value for $$.

**The role**:
You as the Mechanical Designer, will report to the Engineering manager and work alongside the lead drafter. You will provide support to the engineering team whilst drafting new designs from concept as designs from concept as well as preparation for FEA purposes. You will be provided support to ensure the delivery on projects meet expectation but also given the freedom to work autonomously.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

- 5 years experience in design drafting using Inventor and Vault Software
- Strong communication skills verbally and written
- Heavy industry experience
- Work well within a team environment
- New design experience as well as modifications on existing designs
- Previous experience in liasing with customers and suppliers to ensure deliverables are above expectations

Previous experiences in the heavy industry will be highly regarded. Please note, this role is for a Mechanical Draftsman, not an engineering based role.
