This role provides an opportunity to join a progressive and innovative Community Development team focussed on responsible for developing and strengthening community connection and increasing awareness of matters related to community safety and support services. The team has a portfolio that includes community safety and crime prevention, CCTV, mental health, suicide prevention, community transport, social isolation, homelessness, domestic and family violence, safety rebates and community education.

In this role you will provide strategic leadership, guidance and support to the Community Safety and Support Services team to cultivate a strong capacity building ethos, both within your team and with internal and external stakeholders.

Highly motivated, you will be agile and will empower your team to plan, implement and evaluate relevant projects and programs, engaging local organisations and volunteers to deliver sustainable outcomes to and with the community.
- High level of effective leadership skills with demonstrated experience coordinating small multi-disciplinary teams.
- Well-developed knowledge of contemporary community development, community engagement and community capacity building theory, principles and practices, particularly in the areas Community Safety, Community Transport, Community Support Services
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills including, research and analysis, report writing, strategy development/review, contract and grant management
- Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative internal and external strategic and community partnerships

This position offers a **gross** salary up to $102,120 per annum with access to a pool vehicle. In addition we offer:

- 11% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute
- A variety of health and wellbeing programmes
- Flexible working arrangements, including rostered days off and up to two additional paid days of absence per annum
