**The role**

The primary purpose of this role is to underwrite business in accordance with Allianz Underwriting Framework and Strategy, within Loss Control standards and within delegated authority levels and to assist in providing quotations for new business and renewals having regard to the needs and circumstances of customers and to agreed service standards.

**You'll be responsible for**
- Case underwriting, assessing risk on an individual basis, whilst assisting with the development and retention of existing business.
- Ensuring all business underwritten enhances portfolio targets and profitability and that underwriting bias is given to risks that display better than average profitability through selection and prudent underwriting.
- Effectively managing workflows and phone queues to ensure delivery of quality products and services.
- Managing relationships across various distribution channels as per delegated authority limits.
- Accurately interpreting, anticipating, and providing solutions to customers' needs from available information to design sustainable responses to suit customer circumstances and address their needs.

**About you**
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that affect the organisation.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
- Pay high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights, and evaluate options for decision making.
