We are on the hunt for an experienced and diligent Livestock Hand to join our Livestock Team at our award winning, 20,000 head feeding facility in Jondaryan, QLD.

**The role**

This opportunity will see you working within a close-knit and collaborative team to assist with the livestock operations of Kerwee Feedlot, including:

- general cattle handling
- drafting
- cutting out
- pen riding and moving cattle within the feedlot
- cattle inductions
- diagnosing animal health with a strong emphasis on animal welfare
- administration of the animal health treatments
- maintaining accurate daily records, including data entry

Our team work to a 9 on 5 off roster.

**About you**

You will be a competent rider and have access to your own horse. We will offer access to stables, paddocks, farrier services, horse feed and vaccinations.

You'll need good communication skills as you'll be developing relationships within your team and across the organisation. You should have effective time management skills as you'll working within a dynamic environment.

You should be a self-starter, able to recognise when a job needs doing and get it done.

Experience within a similar work environment would be highly regarded as well as, knowledge of and ability to work within workplace health and safety and environmental systems.
