Your contribution
- Providing high level advice to the Deputy Director-General on strategic, operational issues and corporate governance issues associated with Sport and Recreation. Providing an effective liaison on behalf of the Deputy Director-General to business areas of Sport and Recreation, the Office of the Director-General, other areas of the department and external stakeholders. Ensuring the efficient operation of the Office of the Deputy Director-General. Managing the direction and timely delivery of all correspondence including hot issues briefs and briefing requests on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Director
- General. Actively participate in and contribute to the good governance and objects of the business area and the division. Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships within the division, across the division, across the department and Queensland Government. Undertaking special projects of a complex/sensitive nature as assigned by the Deputy Director-General. Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.
Mandatory requirementsLicencesCurrent C Class driver's licence.Citizenship/visaTo be eligible for employment in this position, you must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia. If you are not an Australian citizen you will need to provide evidence of your residency status or visa, with your right to work (including any conditions / restrictions) prior to engagement. You are required to notify the department if your right to work in Australia ceases.
