**The Opportunity**:

- Lithgow City Council _has an exciting opportunity for a **Temporary Manager Adaptive Skills** to join their team in Lithgow, NSW for a period of 12 months.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Economy and Strategy, you will lead a small and dynamic team to deliver a pilot STEAM program to supplement existing STEAM teaching in local schools. The Manager will play a pivotal role in developing the STEAM program and associated facilities and technology.

Importantly, the Manager will be a critical and central part of the multi-disciplinary Lithgow Emerging Economy Plan (LEEP) Team with responsibility for managing the transition of one of the first carbon-dependent regional economies to net zero in New South Wales.

More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):

- Coordinate engagement and liaise with primary and secondary school leadership across the Lithgow Local Government Area to develop, promote and implement a STEAM program
- Coordinate and lead the integration between local primary and secondary schools, industry and further education providers to improve student and teacher engagement with STEAM education and further education pathways
- Manage and control the program facilities and equipment in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders to support facility upgrades and equipment maintenance to ensure the success of the pilot program
- Assist with community engagement and contribute to the communication of successful initiatives.

**About you**:

- A recognised qualification in a STEAM related discipline or economics
- Demonstrable experience in managing a small team of professionals
- Demonstrable experience in regional economic transitions management
- A recognised NSW teaching qualification
- Greater than 10 years' experience in teaching or a STEAM related discipline
- A Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one

In addition:

- Where the holder has a recognised qualification in a STEAM related discipline, a recognised qualification in economics, regional development, business, or equivalent industry experience.

- Between $130,082.88 and $141,522.87 per annum, commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience.
