Overview A leading resources organisation is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of asset reliability and instrumentation excellence.
This position offers you the chance to make a significant impact by developing and deploying advanced condition monitoring processes, ensuring that critical electrical and instrumentation assets are managed with precision and care.
You will be at the forefront of integrating these processes into SAP systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to embed best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities Take ownership of condition monitoring strategies for essential electrical and instrumentation assets, ensuring their ongoing reliability and performance through innovative process deployment.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including reliability, maintenance, and IT professionals to integrate workflows into SAP Plant Maintenance systems, enhancing data accuracy and reporting capabilities.Develop comprehensive condition monitoring processes tailored for electrical and instrumentation assets to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Integrate newly designed condition monitoring workflows into SAP Plant Maintenance modules, guaranteeing precise data capture and actionable reporting.Work collaboratively with reliability engineers, maintenance personnel, and IT/SAP specialists to embed industry-leading practices into daily operations.Conduct detailed failure mode analysis (FMEA) and root cause analysis (RCA) to inform robust asset management strategies.Support the standardisation of reliability procedures across the business, fostering consistency and efficiency in asset care.Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the reliability function by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing effective solutions.Provide expert guidance on predictive maintenance techniques using advanced instrumentation and data capture methods.Facilitate training sessions or workshops to upskill team members in condition monitoring technologies and SAP integration.Monitor key performance indicators related to asset health, proactively addressing issues before they escalate into critical failures.Contribute to strategic planning discussions aimed at elevating overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) throughout the organisation.
What you bring Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.Demonstrated experience in asset reliability engineering with a strong emphasis on condition monitoring methodologies.Proficiency in integrating workflows into SAP Plant Maintenance or similar enterprise asset management systems.Advanced skills in instrumentation technology and data capture techniques for predictive maintenance applications.Excellent communication abilities to facilitate effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.A proven track record of supporting process improvements within complex operational environments.Experience conducting FMEA or RCA analyses is highly regarded.Commitment to standardisation efforts that enhance consistency across reliability functions.A collaborative mindset with a passion for sharing knowledge and supporting team development.Strong organisational skills with attention to detail when managing multiple priorities.
