About the office
The Finance Office plays an integral role in the success of the University ensuring responsible stewardship through financial performance and strategic procurement, with a view to financial sustainability and growth.
About the role
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the University's strategic and financial decision-making by developing robust financial models and conducting thorough data analysis. The role operates with considerable autonomy and broad direction, contributing valuable insights that inform key stakeholder decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing financial models and conducting analysis to support informed decision-making by key stakeholders.
Provide financial modelling for business case feasibility studies, including discounted cash flow analysis, net present value and internal rate of return calculations.
Create and deliver presentations and data visualisation dashboards to enhance stakeholder understanding of financial insights.
Maintain clear and transferable model documentation for use across the University.
Build and sustain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and management personnel.
Support cross-functional projects and ad hoc modelling tasks as directed, while complying with university policies and procedures.
Qualifications, skills & experience
Postgraduate qualifications, CA/CPA (or equivalent) accreditation, combined with extensive relevant experience.
Strong background in financial reporting using complex accounting systems and large datasets, with proficiency in analytical and reporting tools.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Proven ability to create impactful data visualisations tailored to diverse audiences.
Excellent problem-solving and conceptual skills, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience driving continuous improvement and service excellence.
