Risk Management Opportunities
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Financial Services Risk Management team.
You will have the opportunity to work with clients across the banking, insurance, and superannuation sectors to provide strategic advice and execution support on their risk management needs.
Your Key Responsibilities
Deliver engagements by managing end-to-end components, including production of deliverables on time and to required quality standards, client management, and supervision of more junior team members.
Help clients understand their business models, financial structures, and specific risk exposures.
Evaluate client financial and non-financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and operational risks.
Provide risk and regulatory advice to clients, advising them on a wide range of risks, including those related to regulators such as APRA, ASIC, and AUSTRAC.
Design risk management frameworks to assist clients in developing or enhancing their approaches to managing their most important risks.
Conduct due diligence assessments to help clients vet the risks involved in mergers, acquisitions, or other business transactions.
Develop and implement technology solutions to create innovative risk technology solutions that enable efficient risk management and new insight.
Conduct training, workshops, and seminars to educate clients on risk management best practices and emerging trends.
Contribute to thought leadership by helping develop a market-facing point of view on risk management that differentiates us from other firms in the market.
Skills and Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a financial services consulting firm or major financial institution, focusing on one or more of the following disciplines: risk culture, conduct, and compliance; regulatory and risk reporting; financial crime; financial risk - credit, market, funding, and/or liquidity risk; operational risk – general or in a technical area such as AI, data, technology, and records risk; regulation and prudential supervision (including experience working with a regulator and/or EDR scheme); risk technology; risk analytics.
A high level of drive and initiative.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
A degree in finance, commerce, law, STEM, or similar, with post-graduate qualifications or additional study viewed favorably.
