Lead Data ConsultantLocation : SydneyWork Type : PermanentThe RoleWe're looking for a Lead Data Consultant to drive complex data migration initiatives within the banking sector.
This is a role in a high-impact transformation program, requiring both technical expertise and strategic insight.
You'll be deeply involved in solution design and hands-on delivery, while also guiding clients on best practices, migration roadmaps, and risk mitigation strategies.
Your ability to translate intricate technical concepts into clear, board-level communication will be a key differentiator.What You'll Be DoingLead data migration planning and execution across large-scale banking platforms (core systems, reporting layers, regulatory datasets, etc.)Engage directly with senior business and technical stakeholders to define migration scope, approach, and success criteriaAnalyse existing data landscapes and develop fit-for-purpose migration strategies , aligned to business risk appetite and timelinesCollaborate with data architects, engineers, and PMs to ensure seamless migration delivery across multiple phasesServe as the trusted advisor to clients guiding them through critical decision points on tooling, sequencing, validation, and cutoverIdentify risks, dependencies, and remediation strategies across the migration lifecyclePrepare and present clear, concise migration plans and status updates to executive audiencesEnsure alignment with regulatory, privacy, and data governance frameworksWhat You'll BringProven track record delivering end-to-end data migrations in banking or financial servicesDeep familiarity with data structures, ETL tools, cleansing / validation , and cutover strategiesStrong capability in stakeholder management across business, operations, and ITExperience working in consulting-style environments or internal transformation teamsExcellent documentation, reporting, and executive-level communication skillsWhy You'll Love ItExposure to enterprise-scale banking systemsBe part of a high-impact 3-year transformationBe part of a program that values clarity, trust, and true expertiseApplyFor more information on this exciting new role, please APPLY NOW or contact Rebecca McCormick on #J-18808-Ljbffr
