Project OverviewGenus has been awarded a significant contract by Western Power for the Clean Energy Link – North Region project.
This landmark initiative will deliver new 330kV and 132kV terminal stations within the existing network footprint, dramatically increasing transmission capacity.
The project also includes line conversions and reinforcement works to enhance the flow of renewable energy across the region, supporting Australia's clean energy future.
The RoleEnsuring compliance and works are undertaken to a high quality as well as implementing robust quality systems across all phases of the project.
You'll provide technical expertise, leadership, and strategic direction to ensure all deliverables meet client, industry, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage the QA/QC team and contractors to ensure high-quality project delivery Conduct inspections, audits, and quality assessments to ensure compliance with contract, specifications, and industry standards Develop, review, and maintain ITPs, test packs, procedures, and quality documentation Monitor daily quality activities, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as required Collaborate closely with construction, engineering, and commissioning teams to support project delivery Support tender submissions, client engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure full compliance with WHS legislation and promote a strong safety culture within the team About YouYou're a hands-on quality professional with proven leadership experience and a strong commitment to safety and excellence.
You thrive in fast-paced project environments and enjoy mentoring teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Essential Criteria Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
Strong WHS knowledge and proven safety record.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Current C Class Driver's Licence, Police Clearance, White Card, First Aid & CPR.
Willingness to travel and work on site.
Desirable Criteria Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
Additional WHS or leadership certifications.
Familiarity with AS3000 and other relevant standards.
Experience in utilities, construction, or resources sectors.
