Accountable for the co-ordination and management of software release
and control/monitor all release activities.
- Co-ordinate delivery of changes with the business, projects, and other IT teams
- Work with activity planning and other IT teams to understand all changes.
- Plan and communicate release schedule to Stakeholders
- Maintain and publish release calendar
- Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
- Evaluate and maintain release management processes, quality gates and
deliverable, continually work towards making improvements in the
release process
- Review and ensure completeness of release artifacts
- Ensure compliance to entry and exit governance criteria on every deployment
- Manage and execute emergency release activities
- Facilitate release planning
- Manage and identify risks that may affect release scope, release
duration, and environments
- Maintain a release repository and manages key information such as
build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
