**Position Overview**
The Senior Actuary is responsible for leading industry and biometric research and analytics to help guide RGA's global product development strategy and for providing pricing guidance, preparing best practices and advice to validate or complement the work done by RGA's regional and local offices. In particular there will be a focus on emerging pricing risks. In addition, the Senior Actuary will contribute to GAPR team's thought leadership.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide pricing guidance and product best practices and advice, to validate or complement the knowledge found in the regional and local offices, providing training and tools where necessary
- Provide cross-market comparisons and identify trends in Life and Living Benefit Insurance products found in all global markets, acting as a bridge and reference point to bring new product ideas to selected markets with appropriate pricing infrastructure
- Produce pricing tools and guidance to meet new challenges and emerging pricing risks faced by local pricing teams
- Produce analytics on Life and Living Benefits products to guide RGA's global product strategy
- Lead consulting projects provided to local or regional teams
- Review and analyze research/experience studies in conjunction with the experience studies team
- Maximize the value extracted from client data and local market sources for pricing and monitoring, supplementing it with international studies where appropriate to develop biometric assumptions working in conjunction with our research colleagues
- Provide support as necessary for the retrocession pool function
- Support new product introductions and value-added services
- Produce and maintain quality documentation to facilitate and coordinate sharing of information with other functions and local offices within RGA

**Requirements**:

- FSA or equivalent accreditation
- 5-10+ years of individual mortality, longevity and living benefits (re)insurance experience
- 3-5 years of product/pricing actuarial experience at a senior level
- Advanced knowledge of pricing and reinsurance of individual life and living benefits products across a broad spectrum of products and/or countries
- Working knowledge of cross-border reinsurance and potential capital, legal, and tax pitfalls
- Proficient in AXIS and Advanced MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Advanced technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter and self-motivated team player with entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of disciplines and geographies
- Capable of multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines
- Desire to improve existing processes; demonstrated ability to positively influence change
- Ability to quickly understand and synthesize information
- Willingness to travel as required
