As a brand, we're bold, dynamic, and constantly evolving - and we're looking for a passionate and driven **Garment Technician** to join our incredible team This is a** part time** role, ideally working **20-25 hours** per week.
In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with our Buying Teams to bring Decjuba's vision to life by ensuring every garment embodies our iconic style, quality, and DNA. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards while creating something our customers will love.
**YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:
**Fit & Quality Assurance**:
- Preparing and delivering detailed Tech Packs that align with buyers' styling, fit, and workmanship requirements.
- Managing fit sessions and providing expert technical advice to ensure all garments meet Decjuba's high standards.
- Creating clear and thorough fit comments across all stages (FFS/2FS/PPS/PS), allowing the smooth progression of samples.
- Ensuring fabric testing, care labelling, and safety standards (especially for kidswear) are met.
**Supplier & Team Collaboration**:
- Liaising with factories and suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, fit, testing, and construction.
- Providing feedback to suppliers to ensure ongoing improvements and alignment with Decjuba's expectations.
- Visiting stores monthly to gather insights and report findings to internal teams and suppliers.
**Problem-Solving & Standards Compliance**:
- Troubleshooting potential problems and finding solutions across fit, quality, and sizing to support sales.
- Investigating and resolving any QA/QC issues efficiently through Decjuba's 5-step QA process.
- Ensuring all products comply with Australian Product Safety Standards for Kidswear. Work with buying at Handovers to ensure compliance across all criteria.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a garment technician or QA role, ideally in kidswear or a fast-paced retail environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion or Textiles.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, specifications, grading, and quality assurance (pattern-making experience is a bonus).
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
- Clear communicator with a solutions-focused, can-do attitude.
- Thrives both in team environments and when working independently.
- Passionate about fit, quality, and customer satisfaction, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
