EXPERIENCED CASUAL ANIMAL ATTENDANT

Are you passionate about animals and looking for an opportunity to work closely with them in a caring and supportive environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic casual Animal Attendant to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be involved in the day-to-day operations of our cat hotel, including check-ins, check-outs, and ensuring all guests receive proper care and attention.
- Assist veterinary staff in handling and restraining animals during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal housing areas, ensuring a comfortable and sanitary environment for our guests.
- Feed, groom, and exercise animals according to their individual needs and schedules.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Assist clients at reception and on the phone and provide exceptional customer service, addressing their inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Engage with cats in play and enrichment activities to ensure they remain stimulated and happy during their stay.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medication administration, and any observations or concerns noted.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum one year's experience working in a professional animal care setting, preferably with cats.
- Roster flexibility over four days including weekends
- Genuine passion for animal welfare and a desire to provide the best possible care to our furry guests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and animals of all temperaments.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $24.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

**Education**:

- High School (Year 9-11) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Animal Attendant: 1 year (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
