Human by nature.PurposeThe EHS Specialist will be under the leadership of the EHS Manager, supporting daily operations and focusing on one or more EHS specializations.
Promote the EHS culture across the organization.Core ResponsibilitiesSupport management and staff in internal/external regulatory complianceStay abreast of EHS regulations and actively apply knowledge to projects and daily tasksReport to the EHS Manager any concerns related to authorities concerning Environment, Health, and SafetyLead investigations of incidents, injuries, and complaints; propose corrective actionsEvaluate regulatory permitting requirements and submit permit applicationsDevelop compliance training and documentation; conduct EHS training as requiredFacilitate toolbox meetings and deliver other EHS trainingParticipate in developing EHS procedures and policies; recommend changes and track implementationOrganize and participate in regular site safety inspections; report findings and ensure corrective actionsFollow up on actions in the local CAPA register to ensure completionFollow up on audit findings; evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actionsOrganize site EHS committee meetings, prepare information, and record minutesAssist in risk assessments and provide solutions to minimize risksSupport annual site risk assessments and ensure mitigation actionsCoordinate implementation of systems like Contractor Safety Management, Work Permits, Construction Safety, and Traffic ManagementSupport EHS aspects of expansion and sustainability projects, including hazard classificationAssist in managing emergency preparedness and response, especially for projectsYour professional profile includes:Educational qualification in the EHS fieldAt least 2-3 years of experience in the chemical or manufacturing industryWillingness to travel across sites in Smithfield and NorwestRelevant EHS certificationsStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint8-10 technical competencies relevant to your EHS specialization domain LI-YAt Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people's lives.You work within an inspiring teamwork culture where you can thrive, collaborate, and learn from talented and passionate colleagues across disciplines, regions, and divisions.Every essence of you enriches our world.Diversity drives innovation and fosters closer connections with our employees, customers, and partners.Givaudan embraces diversity and is committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone can make an impact.
