Teach Product Design and Technology to Students

We are seeking an experienced Product Design and Technology Teacher to lead our product design and technology program for students in years 7-12.

  • Develop engaging product design and technology lessons that cater to the needs of students in years 7-12, aligning with industry standards and curriculum requirements.\
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver curriculum programs that meet the learning needs of students, promoting academic achievement and personal growth.\
  • Provide individualised support to students to help them achieve their full potential, ensuring they reach their academic goals.\
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.\
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in product design and technology education, applying best practices to improve teaching methods and student outcomes.\
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to develop and implement innovative technologies, enhancing the overall educational experience for students.\

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications and current VIT registration are essential. A passion for teaching and learning, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are also highly valued.\
    • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of product design and technology principles, curriculum requirements, and industry standards, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.\
    • They will be able to adapt to changing circumstances, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in the face of challenges.\
    • A strong focus on student wellbeing, safety, and engagement is crucial, as is the ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff.\
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills are necessary to prioritise tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines.\
