The purpose of this role is to lead the design, build, and operation of Observability solutions across multiple platforms. You will be part of the team that manages the full lifecycle of Westpac's Observability platforms, from design and build to deployment, driving a cultural shift from reactive to predictive technology management.

In addition to leading the design and operation of Observability tools, this role involves working closely with management and team members to create and enhance processes and procedures, while identifying opportunities for Machine Learning and AIOps. It is also responsible for providing strategies to ensure all high-value opportunities are incorporated into the pipeline of work and for participating in Westpac's broader forums to share success stories in Observability, MLOps, and AIOps.

**What do I need?**
- 3+ years of expert-level experience with Elastic and Splunk.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Infrastructure Operations.
- Strong knowledge of AIOps and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Exposure to data science concepts and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven expertise in leading problem management and root cause analysis.
- Strategic mindset with strong critical thinking skills.
