Transport Operations & Logistics, TradesIn this Perth based Electrical Tradesperson position, you'll be key in maintaining and repairing locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure to ensure they meet safety and reliability standards.
Your contribution will support the efficient operation of freight services by:Performing routine and corrective maintenance and fault repairs using best practices.Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) regulations and technical specifications.Keeping accurate records and documentation of asset conditions, maintenance activities, and costs.Reporting completed work against the scheduled program.Contributing to the development and enhancement of work procedures for continuous quality improvement.Roster and Remuneration:In this position you will work a 3-week rotating roster:Week 1: Monday to Saturday – 0630 – 1430Week 2: Monday to Friday – 0630 – 1430Week 3: Monday to Friday – 1400 – 2200The successful candidate will be appointed at the base level (Tradesperson Level 5) in accordance with the current Enterprise Agreement.
Based on the standard roster and applicable penalty rates (excluding additional overtime), the estimated annual earnings are approximately $123,000 plus superAbout You:Proficient in computer use.Possesses strong interpersonal communication skills.Experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock is highly valued.Demonstrates robust fault-finding and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.Knowledgeable in relevant legislation, including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.Experience with locomotives and wagons is a plus, but training will be provided.Our recruitment process:Successful candidates will be required to undergo a category 3 rail medical, which include drug and alcohol screening.Electrical schematic review during interview will take place.What we offer you:At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees.
