What does the job look like?

We are seeking a driven and experienced Route Operations Manager to lead the BevChain "Away from Home" operations based at our customer site in Mentone, Victoria. This role oversees the end-to-end daily transport operations including a mix of company and subcontractor with 2 direct supervisors.

You will be responsible for delivering on key KPIs across safety, service, and cost, while supporting continuous improvement, operational efficiency and outstanding customer satisfaction. Key areas:

- Lead and develop your team, fostering a strong safety culture and delivering high performance through effective communication, coaching, and training.
- Oversee daily resource allocation, route planning, fleet utilisation, and real-time problem-solving to meet customer expectations and maximise commercial return.
- Drive compliance with CoR, NHVR regulations, fatigue management, mass limits, and vehicle safety. Investigate incidents and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Act as the key point of contact for our customer, ensuring deliveries are on time, accurate, and in alignment with SLA requirements.
- Champion CI initiatives to streamline routing execution and improve DOT performance

- Previous experience in transport operations, specifically final mile delivery
- Proven results in improving service delivery and operational KPIs
- Strong people leadership and influencing skills
- Sound knowledge of TMS/WMS and Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of fleet scheduling, load configurations, and routing
- Experience working with subcontractors and customer relationship management
- A continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
