Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Sofitel Brisbane Central.
As an experienced member of the kitchen team, you will play a significant role in supervising operational aspects of the kitchen and ensure food hygiene and safety procedures are followed.Manage and coordinate activities within your assigned kitchen sectionEnsure efficient workflow and seamless coordination with other kitchen areasMaintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standardsPrepare and cook dishes according to our menu specifications and quality standardsTrain and mentor junior kitchen staff, including apprentices and commis chefsAssist in menu development and implementation of new food conceptsParticipate in live cooking demonstrations and interact with customers when requiredCollaborate with the sous chef and head chef to maintain kitchen efficiencyMonitor and control food waste, stock levels, and kitchen resourcesAdapt quickly to changing priorities during busy service periods.QualificationsCompleted culinary training or apprenticeshipMinimum of 2 years of experience in a similar roleProven track record of excellence in food preparation and presentationStrong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standardsPassion for international cuisine and new food conceptsExperience in live cooking and customer interactionExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership and communication skillsCreativity and willingness to contribute to menu developmentFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.Additional InformationBring passion and dedication to excellence, and we will recognise your contribution with a variety of benefits, rewards and development opportunities.
