Right at Home Brisbane Bayside provides high quality in-home care and assistance to our valued clients in the beautiful Brisbane Bayside - from Wynnum to Redland Bay. We support people living with Alzheimer's, dementia and cognitive decline, disabilities, post-operative care needs and older Australians. Our services help clients remain safe and independent in their own homes. Our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

**About the role**

We currently have positions available for qualified, reliable, and passionate Personal Care Worker to join our team. It is preferred that you are an experienced Aged Care Worker or Disability Support Worker. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful, and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
- Certificate 3 in aged or disability
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
- Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
- Preparing food, feeding clients and administering medications
- Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
- Responding to emergency situations
- Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

**Essential Criteria**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates
- Current unrestricted driver's license
- Blue and yellow card or willing to obtain
- NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain
- Comprehensive car insurance
- COVID 19 Vaccination
