The Secret Garden Preschool is a loving, educational, and happy environment where the children come first. Our centre is open 50 weeks a year from 8:00am-5:00pm and we cater for 2- to 5-year-olds. We aim to provide the children in our care to feel safe, secure and supported, develop a sense of belonging to various communities, become strong in their social and emotional wellbeing and become socially responsible for the environment. As a childcare trainee you will be providing education and care for children from 2 to 5 years and your duties will include
- Ensuring children are safe and adequately supervised at all times. Be proactive in offering ideas for craft and learning experiences
- Interact positively with children and provide learning experiences
- Check and change nappies
- Host group times
- Make and pack away beds for quiet time
- Serve morning tea, lunches, and afternoon tea
- Set out teacher-based activities for the children to perform
- Ensure compliance with all procedures and practices related to hygiene and safety
- Interact and encourage children to play with one another and help guide them in their choices when needed. Assisting with written paperwork requirements throughout the day
- Strong work ethic and a team player
- Enthusiasm and lots of energy
- 8 to 9 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Unanderra, NSW 2526: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
