Overview

We are expanding our team of professionals and are looking for a passionate and dedicated Diploma Educator (Full-time), Cert III Early Childhood Educator (Full Time or Part-time), Trainee Educator (Full-time to complete traineeship) and Service Cook/Chef to join our dynamic team. You will work within a supportive team environment to contribute to the highest level of quality early learning education in an EXCEEDING RATED service.

• Flexible rotating rosters
• Service opening hours 7:30am–6:00pm
• Central CBD location with convenient transport access
• Use of online communication app for family communications and programming/planning
• Monthly staff meetings to collaborate and share ideas
• Service has a 2-week closure period over the Christmas/December period

Essential Criteria (All Educator Roles)

You must hold a recognised Diploma or Certificate III qualification. Trainee will be working towards their Certificate III in ECE.

• Genuine passion for Early Childhood Education and providing exceeding care for all children and families
• Ability to work full time over 5 days (38 hours per week)
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
• Experience delivering high-quality early learning programs and observation writing for focus children
• Knowledge and experience of current Early Childhood theories and practice & Children's service legislation
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication
• Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively and maintain attention to detail in learning environments
• Committed to health and safety of all children and knowledge of child safe standards
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Approved and current Child Protection training
• Current Food Handling Certificate
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification

Key Responsibilities – Traineeship Position (Educator, full-time)

• Happy and proactive approach to learning about the service, children and the role of an educator
• Positive attitude to being guided by the team and management within the role
• Inquisitive nature and ability to ask questions and communicate openly with others
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children and families
• Support the team to provide high-quality care to children and families
• Complete studies in a timely manner with support from our chosen RTO
• Create and assist in tidying and preparing inviting play spaces for children
• Contribute to cleaning and hygiene processes for the service

Key Responsibilities – Diploma / Cert III Educator

• Build and maintain positive relationships with children and families
• Contribute to curriculum planning and implementation of programs with quality child-focused observation
• Support the team to provide high-quality care to children and families
• -create aesthetically pleasing and inviting play spaces for children
• Critically reflect on environments, programs, and processes to implement changes where needed
• Contribute to the service QIP and RAP
• Knowledge or experience with managing and supporting additional needs of children is a bonus

Key Responsibilities – Cook

• Plan and prepare a variety of healthy meals and snacks in line with nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements
• Manage food ordering, inventory and safe storage to ensure quality and freshness
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Collaborate with Centre Management to develop seasonal menus and accommodate dietary requirements
• Collaborate with families to support individual dietary needs
• Creativity and passion for providing a positive dining experience for young children
• Review menus and make changes as needed
