They support commercial and government clients globally across areas such as water, environment, sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and international development.

Our client is currently recruiting a
**Lead E & I Designer** to be based from their Perth offices, to be focussed on the projects in the mineral and resources sector. In this role you will be working with some of the biggest clients in the mineral processing industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and check drawings of designs relating to plant equipment, services or other facilities or structures.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Read and interpret electrical control schematics.
- Review designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes aligned with the appropriate codes of practise and relevant standards.
- Engaging with contractors and other stakeholders regarding progress, potential risks to schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate design interfaces as required.

**Essential criteria**:

- Diploma in Engineering and or a Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with both HV and LV switchgear (essential)
- Iron ore mine site experience (essential)
- Background as an electrician (desirable)
- Able to conduct site visits (1 week every 2 months as a guide)
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Previous experience working as an Electrical and Instrumentation Designer
