Plaster Technician, Ambulatory Care Centre

The Ambulatory Care Centre (ACC) at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) aims to provide governance, accountability, and management of outpatient services to ensure consistency across the patient care continuum. The ACC team provides governance and management of the functional space and provides nursing and administrative support to the specialties that provide outpatient care in this area. Speciality clinical services at the SCUH will access the ACC to provide outpatient services for their patients. These services work closely together with the ACC team to ensure the provision of collaborative integrated outpatient care.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Application of Plaster of Paris casts / Synthetic Casts
- Removal of Casts
- Ordering orthopaedic appliances - ensuring consumables are always in stock
