- Our Jira Cloud Continuous Deployment team is a DevOps team comprised of people with backgrounds in supporting developers and their teams to deploy changes to the cloud in a safe and reliable way. We assist Atlassian engineers by providing an automated, scalable and reliable deployment pipeline, making sure they can focus on building software, and seeing their work go live as soon as possible.
- We're hiring an Engineering Manager, reporting to the Jira Foundations DevOps Manager, to join our growing Jira Foundations DevOps group. You are an Engineering Manager with a background in DevOps that is passionate about customer value. Here, you'll be a technical leader and people manager, responsible for guiding the team to technical decisions around maintaining and improving the Jira Cloud Continuous Deployment architecture, helping prioritise and organise the team's work, and providing career growth and mentorship opportunities to your team. **What you'll do**:

- Be a people manager for a DevOps team, and grow the careers of your direct reports
- Partner with leadership and platform teams to transform and evolve Jira's deployment pipeline
- Achieve success on improving the current architecture and deployment orchestration to sustain product growth
- Identify blockers, goals, success metrics ensuring OKR/roadmap awareness, and expectations
- Oversee the delivery of important projects in a large-scale web environment
- Run Agile processes for your team
- Ensure operational and quality metrics are achieved
- Participate in hiring

**Your background**:

- 3+ years of experience growing the performance of an Engineering/DevOps team and resolving conflicts
- 3+ years of experience with Agile software development methodologies
- 1+ years of experience with CI/CD and DevOps (as a manager or engineer)
- Customer-focused, while balancing contending priorities to meet the goals
- Experience dealing with goals that depends on multiple external teams, and coordinating competing requirements
