As a member in the Catchment Management Team, you will provide GIS and expert advice to support the design and delivery of collaborative initiatives and projects that improve the capacity, knowledge, and skills of community and stakeholders to achieve ecological sustainable outcomes.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeConducting spatial analysis using GIS software to enhance and support various projectsApplying spatial analysis and GIS to environmental issues to help develop solutionsProviding GIS advice and support for specific projects to improve program design, monitoring and reporting and overall project efficiency and outcomesProviding strategic advice, analysis and problem solving in scientific and geospatial disciplinesSupporting the Senior spatial analyst to create spatial products, manage databasesCommunicating GIS findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders through maps, reports and presentationsCollaborating with other science and non-science teams across the organisationSupporting the Senior Spatial Analyst and other Catchment Management Team Members in internal and external stakeholder meetingsAbout YouIdeally, you will share our vision to lead the change that will deliver an environment for future generations to thrive.
To be successful in this role, you will have all or many of the following requirements:Tertiary Science degree in relevant disciplineStrong proficiency in GIS software, preferably ESRI (ArcGIS)Ability in map and graphics production as well as spatial data managementUnderstanding of geospatial data management principles, including database design, data integration and metadata standardsExcellent scientific knowledge of natural resource managementEffective verbal and communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiencesAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervisionWhat We OfferWe're a diverse team of experts, who enjoy sharing knowledge and learning.
