This is a temporary, part time position for 2025 working Term time only and 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday.
This role will provide support to the teacher of the Prep class.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in working with students, experience in assisting in the preparation and organisation of classroom teaching tools and the ability to work with individual students and groups of children as directed by the teacher.The main duties of this role includes:Setting up for, and assisting with, the implementation of indoor and outdoor learning programsWorking with individual students and groups of students to support learning as directed by the teacherAssisting with student supervision and behaviour management including supervision of lunch where applicableProviding assistance for teachers in delivering teaching and learning programs that engage students and promote learningUsing effective verbal and non-verbal communication strategies to support student understanding, engagement and achievementAssisting in ensuring students' wellbeing and safety and the administering of first aid for the studentsQualifications:A Certificate III or IV in Education Support or other relevant qualification would be an advantageCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationTo Apply:Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.Ravenswood School for Girls is dedicated to maintaining a child safe environment and is committed to the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children.Shortlisted applicants will be required to provide the School with their Working With Children Check number in order to be eligible for this position.Applications close 4pm Wednesday 5 February 2025Ravenswood is a Uniting Church IB World School
