Overview
Aspirante is working with a local QLD organisation to assist in their search for an experiencedCyber Security Specialistto play a key role in the delivery of enterprise cyber security uplift initiatives.
This position will provide technical expertise and hands-on implementation support across projects such as Privileged Access Management (PAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Essential 8 maturity uplift, ensuring integration across both enterprise IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
Responsibilities
Lead advanced technical design, configuration, and troubleshooting of PAM, MFA, and related cyber solutions.
Provide specialist guidance and technical documentation including architecture designs, implementation plans, and risk assessments.
Collaborate with program leads, solution architects, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise cyber security strategy.
Integrate PAM/MFA solutions across IT and OT environments, ensuring secure adoption and compliance with industry standards.
Analyse and interpret security logs, conduct gap assessments, and support risk and compliance reporting.
Support release/change management processes, cutover activities, and readiness reviews to minimise disruption during deployments.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying enhancements to security processes, practices, and controls.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong technical delivery experience with PAM (CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Thycotic/Delinea) and MFA implementations in enterprise environments.
Demonstrated knowledge in Azure Identity Security (Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, authentication protocols).
Experience with privileged identity management (JIT models, PIM), Windows Server & Active Directory integration, and PowerShell automation.
Understanding of networking fundamentals and their impact on identity and PAM solutions.
Proven experience delivering cyber security solutions across IT and OT/SCADA environments.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to critical infrastructure.
Experience working within structured project delivery frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK).
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
