**Quality Assurance & Global Process Specialist, Oceania (12-Month Contract, Maternity Cover)**:

- The Quality Assurance & Global Process Specialist role is to provide support to the Quality & Regulatory Manager to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, customer restrictions and global guidelines. This role is responsible for maintaining quality assurance programs, including HACCP, pre-requisition programs and related policies, procedures and controls to uphold performance, quality and food safety standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the organization. _

You will always uphold and maintain a safe working environment, especially handling dangerous goods. Wearing appropriate PPR and following related procedures to ensure safety of themselves and others._
**The Position**:

- Maintain quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls to uphold performance, quality and food safety standards.
- Support the continuous improvement and control of management systems in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, FSSC22000, SMETA and the Symrise Global Integrated Management System
- Ensure adherence to agreed quality standards across products, procedures, operations and customer interactions.
- Liasie with international affiliates to support country-specific regulatory compliance.
- Manage customer complaints including review, investigation, communication and coordination of corrective and preventive actions with relevant departments and affiliate sites.
- Maintain and develop HACCP and pre-requisite programs to ensure food safety at all times but not limited to environmental monitoring, cleaning, pest and allergen control, food defense, traceability, non-conformance management and validation activities.
- Actively participate in Food Safety and Food Defence Committees.
- Lead and support certification, customer, supplier, GMP and internal audits (AIB, ISO9001, FSC22000) and any other as required.
- Coordinate GMP audits onsite and with third-party logistics providers
- Maintain IMS documentation for all QA related matters and collaborate with departments to ensure SymIMS is up to date
- Develop and conduct GMP training for new hires and refresher sessions for all employees regularly.
- Maintain accurate manufacturing records for traceability and compliance
- Support the Quality Manager in liaising on food safety issues and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders and promote high standards across the site.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and company standards related to quality and food safety.
- Provide technical support to management on quality assurance, food safety and related initiatives.
- Track and document key performance metrics for management review
- Actively support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for Quality and Food Safety across site.
- Monitor and maintain environmental data including energy, water and waste reporting.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements including:

- Hazardous and non-hazardous waste management
- Portable water supply, waste water and storm water discharges
- Air and noise emissions control and management
- Oher requirements including corporate standards and initiatives and national environmental, health and safety regulations
- Develop, control and maintain Integrated Management System (IMS) and required reporting
- Assist in ensuring all controlled documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions are properly maintained by relevant departments and updated regularly in SymIMS
- Manage and track audit findings, corrective actions and preventive measures within the audit management system
- Manage Quality Control from time to time and ensure uninterrupted departmental operations during staff leave. Some laboratory based testing of raw materials, finished goods and system maintenance when required.
