Endorsed Enrolled Nurse - Operating Complex UnitApply now Job no: 503499Work type: PermanentLocation: RockhamptonCategories: Enrolled NurseAbout the roleMater Private Hospital Rockhampton currently has an exciting opportunity for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join the Operating Complex Unit in a permanent, part-time (32hrs) position.Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in and around Rockhampton for more than a century.
Our heritage-listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Hospital in Central Queensland.
Today, our 136-bed facility features five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.What you'll be doingAs an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will provide patient-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty.
Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of careDemonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding careImplementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provisionWorking collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every timeMaintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growthAbout youYou will enjoy working in a busy and rewarding environment where you can become part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care.To be successful in this position, you will have the following:Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)Prior experience as an Enrolled Nurse in General Surgery or another similar field would be highly desiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with avariety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levelsDemonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skillsStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsCommitment to ensuring the levels of service is delivered to patients at all timesMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
