**You will be responsible for**: - Provide strategic advice and support to the Director, Statutory Reporting and Policy on financial, banking systems, services, operations and controls. Build, lead and manage the operations of a high performing corporate financial operations and management services team to ensure effective and efficient support of the department in delivering its strategic objectives
- Develop, manage and maintain finance operational policies including Corporate Card, Travel and PCIDSS providing expert content knowledge
- Manage the department's corporate financial operations, system and supplier contracts
- Manage the delivery of travel management services
- Lead business process research, analysis and improvement activities and provide expert advice on issues affecting finance systems and operations
- Develop and manage a range of SAP system maintenance, administration functions and provide support to SAP business users
- Develop and manage a program of controls monitoring that support the CFO Assurance Framework;
- Liaise with internal and external project teams and providing expert content knowledge to support finance and travel systems development and implementation
- Lead the identification, development and implementation of educational resources and other initiatives across the team's business practices, procedures, systems, tools and materials to improve business outcomes
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: - Demonstrated ability to build team capability and lead multidisciplinary teams that deliver corporate finance operational services
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of financial and travel management, and ability to provide advice to executive management that aligns with the strategic objectives of the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to lead and embed change in the service delivery of corporate finance operations with a key focus on delivering quality outcomes
- Due to recent machinery of government changes, this position will support the newly formed Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (DCSODSFB). This position will be advertised under the former Department of Energy and Climate while establishment changes are finalised*
