**Melodic Minds Music School is currently seeking a new Music Mentor to teach Singing and Piano lessons at our Frankston studio**
**HOURS - SCHOOL TERM DATES**:
- **Mon 4-8pm**:
- **Tuesday 4-8pm**:
- **Thursday 4-8pm**

**ABOUT OUR STUDENTS**
The students at Melodic Minds Music School are of all ages and all backgrounds. Our client base is mostly primary school-aged children with ages ranging from 3-18. The majority of students are at the beginner or intermediate levels, while a smaller portion are advanced students.
**WHAT WE OFFER**:
Base remuneration of $32 per hour, increases annually with experience. Superannuation is paid under government guidelines.

**WHAT YOU NEED**
- A passion for working with children aged 3+ and music education
- Teaching Experience is favorable but _not _essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly Reliable and Punctual
- _Current Working with Children check_
- _Australian citizen or permanent resident, or student visa with at least 2 years before expiry_
**WORKING RELATIONSHIP**
You will be contracted as a Casual Employee under the Miscellaneous Award (MA000104) with Super.
**TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Teaching music lessons in groups (up to 5) and private settings
- Light administration of taking attendance and lesson notes each week
- Building a strong rapport with students and families
- Ensure lessons are fun and engaging
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Enable all students to progress through their musical journey
- Preparing students for performances
- Plan and prepare lessons to individual student's needs, musical interests, and abilities
- Teach music theory, aural skills, and practical techniques to students
- Always have a nurturing and encouraging approach towards students
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
