About the role
In this rewarding and hands-on position, you'll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of trucks. You'll have access to cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and ongoing support to grow your technical expertise. The role suits a self-driven professional with a keen eye for detail, excellent diagnostic ability, and a passion for providing top-tier service.
Your main responsibilities
- Safely carry out repairs, servicing, and inspections of engines, gearboxes, brakes, differentials, and more
- Use the latest diagnostic equipment to accurately assess and resolve vehicle issues
- Complete clear, detailed reports on repair orders, including supplies used and prioritised recommendations
- Support and guide apprentice technicians in safe work practices and technical tasks
- Proactively identify and report any hazards or safety concerns

You will need to have
- A minimum of 2 years on the job experience in the heavy vehicle industry in Australia
- Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalent
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and procedures
- Experience with American, European, or Japanese drivelines is highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, customer-focused team
- A current HC/HR licence is an advantage but not essential
- Strong work ethic, time management, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to safety
- Own toolkit
- The right to work in Australia
