This position offers the opportunity to work alongside leading veterinary specialists and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesDelivering a high standard of compassionate care to both patients and clientsCaring for hospitalised patients and recovering patients after proceduresPreparing, facilitating and monitoring for proceduresPlanning, facilitating and monitoring anaesthesiaPreparation of patients for proceduresEnsuring a clean and hygienic environment throughout the hospitalAssisting with consultationsConducting handover of patientsRequirementsCertificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalentMinimum 2 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, specialty experience preferred but training can be providedStrong technical nursing skills, proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood sampling and performing a TPR advantageousKnowledge of RxWorks and Smartflow are desirable but not essentialA good general nursing knowledge baseExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situationsA positive, flexible, enthusiastic attitudeHave the ability to work closely within a team and autonomouslyWe Want To Offer YouLeave entitlements - 4 weeks annual leave, personal/sick leave, carers leave (all leave benefits as per award)Continuous education programFree annual influenza vaccination6 weeks paid parental leave and flexible return to work programsFree access to confidential Employee Assistance Program LifeWorks 24/7This is a growing business and for the right candidate ongoing opportunities will undoubtedly present themselves.Apply Now
