Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

An excellent opportunity is available to join the team in Nepean Theatres as a Clinical Support Officer (CSO). This position is ward/unit based and supports the work activities of nurses, midwives, medical and allied health staff with locally determined shift times based on the service delivery needs.

As a Clinical Support Officer, you will provide support across the health facility and assignment may be to one or several wards or unit. You will work closely with existing administrative staff such as ward clerks and communication officers at the ward/unit level. This position complements existing roles, systems, and processes in each organisation.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
- Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and curteously with people at all levels
- Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent
