About the Role As our Production Planner, you'll be at the heart of our manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless coordination between sales demand, production capacity, and resource availability. This strategic role combines analytical thinking with hands-on problem-solving to deliver optimal production outcomes. Key Responsibilities Production Scheduling & Planning
Develop and maintain comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly production
schedules
Analyze sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to
optimize workflow
Coordinate seamlessly with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams for
material availability Operations Management
Monitor work orders and production status to proactively identify and resolve
bottlenecks
Ensure efficient allocation of resources including labor, equipment, and
materials
Analyze capacity and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize
downtime Strategic Support
Adjust production plans dynamically in response to demand changes, equipment
issues, or material shortages
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain compliance with quality and
safety standards
Maintain accurate production metrics, inventory records, and schedule
performance data
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within production planning processes
Essential Requirements Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or
related field
Alternative: Equivalent experience in production planning roles
2-4 years minimum experience in production planning within manufacturing
environments Technical Skills
ERP/MRP Systems: Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
platforms
Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes,
materials flow, and shop floor operations
Analytical Capabilities: Excellent organizational, analytical, and
problem-solving abilities Professional Attributes
Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
effectively
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with proven cross-departmental
collaboration experience
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to accuracy and process compliance
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Certifications: APICS CPIM or CSCP certification highly regarded
Process Improvement: Experience with lean manufacturing principles or Six
Sigma methodologies
Quality Systems: Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management
