Quality Control Assistant

Due to our global growth, we have an exciting opportunity within our talented Production team

This is an exciting entry level opportunity suited to a passionate fashion production team member to join us on a **full-time basis**, with a key focus in **supporting our Quality Control team**

**About the role**:
This is an amazing opportunity if you are looking to kick start your career in fashion production working in a beautiful production studio with some of the most talented seamstresses and production professionals in Australia

The set roster for this role would be** **7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday-Thursday) and 7:00am - 1:30pm (Friday)**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Complete Quality Control checks of assigned RTW gowns to strict guidelines
- Following instructions on hemming and building knowledge of dress finishes
- Attention to detail for measurements, height checks and quality of construction
- Prioritise quality checks to achieve team and department KPIs
- Target driven and ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Organisational skills and planning ability, able to work autonomously towards team goals.
- Understand and follow technical specifications and quality control manuals
- Identify garments for fabric faults, flaws, stains and/or marks
- Analyse construction of garment including stitching, finishing and stretch allowance
- Complete Quality Control reports as directed
- Highlight any issues with the Quality Control process to Team Leader and Manager
- Suggest any ideas for continuous improvements to quality control standards
- Assist with packaging and gift wrapping of orders when needed
- Continually strive to develop exceptional Product knowledge
- Ad-hoc duties as directed by the QC Leadership team
- Abide by safe work practices & adhere to company and legislative requirements relating to Workplace Health & Safety

**Experience and skills required**:

- Basic scissor, sewing & cutting skills would be desirable
- Demonstrated effective time management skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment
- Superior attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Highly focused with good concentration
- Exceptional work ethic, high energy and with strong multi-tasking and organisational skills
- Ability to meet daily goals and deadlines
- Physically able to work standing, lifting, bending and actively throughout shift.

- Intermediate level computer literacy, MS office & MAC experience desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill
