Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as demolition, excavation, capping, cut and fill, remediation and rehabilitation etc.
Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Manager to join their growing business.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
Types of projects include demolition, excavation, cut and fill, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc.
Typical values from $2.5 to $25m but can go up to $30m+ and will be managing multiple concurrent projects.
This project will be site based in the Hunter region.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working on tendersPlanning and scheduling of construction activitiesManagement of site project teamsQuality Assurance, Cost and Time ManagementPreparation of management reportsResolving site issues in a timely mannerLiaising with key clients and stakeholdersCoordinating internal and external resourcesBusiness developmentRecruitment and mentoring of teams
Qualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar7 – 15+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $40m+Project management qualifications will be advantageousProven understanding of construction with a hands-on approachProven ability to effectively lead and delegateEffective problem solving abilitiesAbility to resolve conflict and manage client expectationsHigh level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
