James Hardie is on the hunt for enthusiastic and driven Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team
This is a great opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges.As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and components within our manufacturing environment.
You'll be supported by experienced mentors and gain exposure through hands-on experience and professional growth opportunities to help you grow your technical skills and set yourself up for long-term success.This role will commence in January 2026.
What you'll do Provide technical support for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Learning the products of the business and understanding their applications Understanding customer value and the impact on manufacturing and supply chain Understanding manufacturing processes and the drivers of quality, cost, safety, reliability, speed, waste, and delay Apply structured problem solving to drive continuous improvement within the plant Apply problem solving, communication & other skills to deliver on relevant projects Deliver all technical tasks to comply with quality, safety and project management/engineering procedures and controls to enable completion on time and within scope Effectively contribute to the achievement of team and project goals Carry out work in a safe manner, in accordance with Safety procedures as applicable Actively participate in improvement projects Support lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to 5S and Kaizen activities What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrate a safety-first attitude Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Tech savvy and curious, with high learning agility and flexibility of style A desire to grow and develop a long standing career within the business.
