Graduate Mechanical Engineer role in Chinchilla offering hands-on mining and heavy industrial projects with strong mentorship and career growth.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.
Perform mechanical engineering design including pumping, piping, and structural components.
Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and industry best practices (AS1170, AS1418, AS1657, AS2033, AS4041, AS4024, AS4100, ASME B31, etc.).
Use engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Advance Steel, Plant 3D, SPACE GASS, Pipe Flow Expert, AutoPIPE, or similar.
Conduct engineering audits and reviews, prepare reports, and deliver technical presentations.
Manage multidisciplinary projects including project correspondence, documentation, budgets, and estimates.
Participate in onsite and office-based work throughout project lifecycles.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver quality outcomes.
Work alongside senior, principal, and RPEQ engineers to improve and deliver quality engineering services.
About You
What you\'ll need:
Final-year or recent Mechanical Engineering graduate.
Passion for applying theoretical knowledge to real-world mining and heavy industrial solutions.
Keen eye for detail and ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
Prior site experience or familiarity with engineering software is a bonus.
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) recognised and accepted by Engineers Australia or planning to obtain it.
