The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Neuropsychologist - Advanced (Paediatrics) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Child Development
- Provide independent advanced-level specialised clinical neuropsychology/psychology services
- Provide advanced clinical, technical services and authoritative advice in relation to both clinical neuropsychology, and the wider child development context
- Lead change through quality and service improvement activities, for both the Neuropsychology Team, Child Development Service and Community Child Health
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the neuropsychologists and applicable multidisciplinary teams within CDS

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- A tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent
- Appointment or eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be well regarded
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary
- Permanent part time (60.8 hrs p.f.).
- Base salary ranging from $65.63 - $68.49 per hour

The Child Development Service runs a suite of clinical service pathways aimed at identifying and providing support for children with developmental and behavioural concerns. Pathways include (but are not limited to) Paediatric Developmental Clinics, Autism Multidisciplinary Assessment Clinics, Multidisciplinary Clinics, Neurodevelopmental Exposure Diagnostic Clinics, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Mealtime clinics, Health and Education Hubs, and single discipline Allied Health clinics. Based in Southport.
