This Associate level position offers the opportunity to lead complex hydraulic engineering projects while contributing to innovative infrastructure solutions across diverse sectors.

You possess exceptional hydraulic experience, significant project management ability, thorough technical understanding, and you're confident communicating with clients and business partners while contributing to our team success culture.
Experience & Qualifications
8+ years' experience in Australian building services, ideally in consulting.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering highly regarded.
RPEQ or QBCC licence essential.
Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
Technical Expertise
Solid experience in Hydraulic services engineering from concept to construction completion.
Extensive experience with complex hydraulic services engineering projects.
Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code.
Proficiency with latest technology – REVIT/AutoCAD, BIM360, HYENA, Microsoft Suite including Office and OneDrive.
Revit design and modelling experience highly regarded.
Leadership & Management
Extensive experience leading and coordinating multi-discipline projects including managing client expectations.
Passionate about mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers.
Proven project, organisation and time management skills.
Ability to move between different tasks and projects while managing multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, both technically and non-technically.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, project teams and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Leadership
Deliver detailed design for all elements of hydraulics, including hot & cold water, sanitary plumbing & drainage, storm water drainage, gas services, fire services, domestic wastewater treatment systems.
Maintain technical understanding and knowledge base in hydraulics.
Carry out design calculations and return briefs, whilst working to project timelines and budget.
Problem-solve complex design challenges, delivering great solutions for clients.
Project Management
Multi-discipline team coordination and project management.
Project involvement through all phases, from tender preparation and design delivery through to construction support.
Carry out project administration such as scheduling, estimating and report preparation.
Satisfy codes, standards, project and quality requirements.
Client Engagement & Team Development
Direct client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Client/design meetings and site inspections.
Hands-on mentoring and coaching of junior engineers and designers.
Routinely demonstrate ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
