Our client is a large Tier 1 Mining Client and they are seeking an experience Payroll officer in their Brisbane CBD offices. You will be payroll and employee support within a large, fast paced team. This role is initially for 6 month and is available for immediate start.

**About the Role**:

- Contribute to the on-time delivery of day-to-day payroll and local regulatory compliance activities
- Oversee employee data and organisational hierarchy maintenance
- Resolve internal, external or BPO queries which may include technical issues or complex payroll and/or employee data queries
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal control standards and regulatory requirements
- Identify and assist with the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to exchange information and assist with ad hoc requirements

**About You**:

- 5 years experience in payroll activities with a comprehensive understanding of relevant Australian payroll legislation, payroll and superannuation
- Good knowledge of SAP or similar system within a large organisation
- Effective time management and planning to meet deadlines, coupled with high attention to detail
- Resilience and the ability to thrive in a continuous improvement culture and have a strong commitment to team-based processes and outcomes
- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office products coupled with strong analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
