We are seeking a dedicated and skilled
**Children with Complex Disability Practitioner** to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with families, providing support and guidance to enhance parenting capacity and promote family preservation.
**The role**:
As a
**Children with Complex Disability Practitioner,** you'll provide high-quality support to families in residential care or at risk of needing care due to complex disability support needs.
This includes coordinating supports, assisting with accessing NDIS-approved services, building families' capacity to navigate service systems, and fostering collaborative relationships with service providers.
You'll engage with the NDIA, stay updated on NDIS changes, and ensure compliance. Networking, professional development, and adhering to child safety standards are vital aspects of the role.
Flexibility and other reasonable duties as directed are expected.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in disability, social sciences, community work, or related fields.
- Strong task focus and ability to prioritize work flow.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with participants and service providers.
- Commitment to engaging and empowering people with disabilities and their carers.
- In-depth understanding of service sectors (disability, community, education, health, etc.) and their interface with individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with the purpose and expectations of Victorian Child Safe Standards and a demonstrated commitment to contributing to a child-safe organization.
**To be successful in this role you will need**:
- Confirm education/degrees required/preferred with hiring manager
- Check mandatory checks/certifications required for the role
Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children Check for an employee. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.
Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called 'Quality, Safety and You' prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
