About the Role
We are seeking applications from experienced Mining Production Supervisors for current and future vacancies across our open cut mining assets throughout the Bowen Basin - Caval Ridge, Goonyella, Peak Downs and Saraji. These roles will each report to the Superintendent of Coal Production on various rosters, though typically 7:7 and 6:6 rotating rosters can be expected. You will be responsible for the management and oversight of a production crew, including ensuring the safe execution of the mine plan in accordance with operating standards, procedures and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team. Lead by example, support a diverse and inclusive team with a collaborative culture;
Manage a team of experienced and new to industry operators, encourage the development of the teams skills to support the delivery of superior production outcomes;
Apply a continuous improvement approach to identify and improve upon our operating philosophy and processes, ensure quality and efficiency in our operations; and
Lead by example, promote and take the lead supporting and encouraging a diverse team of operators to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment ensuring a safety first approach.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead positive change and support the continued development of a high performing team. The successful candidate will have an absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards, mine working procedures and ensure a safe and environmentally healthy workplace.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to foster positive working relationships and be adaptable to various communication styles;
Have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, lead and facilitate cooperation with production personnel;
Proven ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a dynamic environment;
Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP and similar systems and databased;
Experience working in Leadership roles, with strong people management skills; and
Experience working in mining production roles;
Mining Supervisor Statement of Attainment - G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3)
