Material Planner

**About the role**

Production Material Planner is accountable for delivering their work on time, in full and to standard. The Material Planner is responsible for keeping themselves and their workmates safe as well as maintaining a clean, tidy, and productive work environment. The Material Planner is accountable for performing their work while striving for continuous improvement.

**_Key objectives & responsibilities include:_**
- Understanding and accepting the task, demonstrating ownership and respect for tools and equipment, carrying out the task diligently, completing it in full, and proactively seeking to improve it through initiation of enhancements.
- Negotiating and agreeing on a time frame, ensuring delivery within the agreed-upon time, and continually striving to improve upon it.
- Understanding, accepting, and consistently delivering on both quality and health, safety, and environment standards, while holding oneself and others accountable to these standards. Additionally, actively promoting a 'safety first' culture by assessing risks and continuously seeking ways to improve health and safety measures.
- Understanding and accepting the standard, consistently delivering work that meets it, holding oneself and others accountable to it, and continuously seeking ways to improve upon it.
- Ask questions if you're unsure and escalate concerns, while also striving to reduce waste in all its forms.

**_Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:_**
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
- A Production background would be considered advantageous as well as previous experience in the marine industry or relevant related industry.
- Proven experience working as a Material Planner.
- Demonstrate sound skills in preparing and managing material planning in accordance with best practices and procedures.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships (internal and external).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
- High levels of competency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Previous experience with Pronto would be considered advantageous.
- A strong knowledge of the materials required relevant to the trade.
- Strong organisational skills and be able to solve problems in a methodical manner with the ability to work to tight time frames.
- A positive and helpful can-do attitude with a strong sense of teamwork and flexibility.
- Understanding of organisational policies, business standards, procedures/work instructions and guidelines; including, but not restricted to HSEQ and HR.

- 38 hours per week 8 hours Monday - Thursday with 4 hours on Friday
