As the AI Powered Data Science and Tooling & Ways of Working Lead, you will play a key role in developing & executing AI initiatives and strategies to uplift the capability of practitioners and leaders alike. You will be the driving force that will help build the AI Powered Data Science capability across the Group and work through various levels across the businesses to embed the knowledge required to deliver on our business and customer outcomes. Using your powerful combination of leadership and organisational abilities, you'll foster a growth orientated culture of sharing, learning and problem solving across teams.
You will define and execute the AI Powered Data Science and strategy that will uplift the capability of Data Science practitioners across the Group. Your leadership will drive the adoption of AI-powered tooling, foster a culture of learning and innovation, and embed AI knowledge into workflows to deliver meaningful business and customer outcomes.

This role directly contributes to the World-class Data and AI pillar, working closely with:

- Group Data Science & Analytics Practice
- CDAO Leadership Team
- Data Science Leadership Teams across the Group
- Centres of Excellence across the business

**Key Responsibilities**

**Strategic Vision & Execution**
- Define and execute a roadmap for driving AI Powered Data Science and optimising the AI/Gen AI lifecycle across the Group.
- Align initiatives with business priorities and transformation agendas.
- Influence enterprise-wide forums (e.g. Integrated Delivery Lifecycle) as the representative of the AI Powered Data Science and Tooling & Ways of Working (TWOW) pillars.

**Program Leadership**

Own and lead the end-to-end delivery and impact measurement of the AI-Powered, Gen AI, Agentic, and DS Handbook initiatives. These programs are critical to the success of the Data Science Practice, driving capability uplift across the Group and underpinning the strategic goals of both the AI Powered Data Science and Tooling & Ways of Working (TWOW) pillars. Each program spans three verticals:
1. Tooling: Develop frameworks for assessing tools/platforms/vendors and identifying opportunities for DS workflows.

2. Skilling: Create immersive learning pathways to upskill Data Scientists and embed tooling into workflows.

3. Adoption & Community Engagement: Drive engagement, adoption, and knowledge sharing to shift hearts and minds toward AI-powered ways of working.

Execution of each stream is led by the AI Powered Data Science and TWOW Managers, while you provide strategic oversight, risk and dependency management, and ensure successful delivery.

**Stakeholder Management**
- Partner with senior leaders across DS, Gen AI, MLOps, L&D, and external vendors.
- Collaborate across the Group to deliver high-value, high-impact initiatives.
- Influence and educate stakeholder groups to align on strategic goals.

**People Leadership**
- Mentor and coach 1-2 Managers and Senior Managers.
- Foster a growth-oriented, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
- Support team members in navigating complexity and driving innovation.
